Unearthed Jewellery

Spongeware Green Onyx Gold Filled on Sterling Silver Necklace

Pottery:
Connecting you to the land and history from where it came, the spongeware blue and white pottery shard featured in this necklace was unearthed on a trail in Eccleshall. To contrast the impressionist feel of the sponge pattern, the shape of the shard has been left angular, quite similar to how it was found. The lack of distinct pattern on this shard makes it difficult to confidently identify the maker or pattern.
Stone:
A faceted Green Onyx stone set in vermeil and a teardrop of green onyx to finish off the extender - perfect to dangle down your back.
Chain:
The stone setting in this necklace is Vermeil and the rest of the necklace is Gold Filled. The links on this necklace have been wire wrapped instead of soldered together to provide you with a strong, quality necklace without compromising the layer of Gold-Fill.
Length:
A 3 inch extender allows you to wear your necklace with a variety of different necklines. Including the extender, the necklace measures 19 1/2 inches long and can sit just below your collarbone, or worn as a choker.
