SOLD! Smoky Sunflower Necklace

SOLD! Smoky Sunflower Necklace

Connecting you to the land and history from where it came, the pottery shard featured in this necklace was discovered along the canal in Middleport, near the Middleport Pottery Factory. Middleport Pottery was built in 1888 by Burgess & Leigh Ltd and is still in operation today. This deep blue and white pottery shard features a sunflower. Sadly, the pattern has yet to be unearthed, but due to its proximity to Middleport Pottery, may have been made by Burgess and Leigh or Burleigh, as they are now called.
A faceted lapis gemstone and a cluster of faceted smoky quartz connect the shard to the necklace, with additional drops of smoky quartz finishes off the clasp - perfect to show off the back of your neck.
This sterling silver necklace was made to last. The soldering and wire wrapping in this necklace provide you with a strong, quality necklace that isn't going to break from a slight tug. The necklace measures about 19 inches long.
